Nobody in this market publishes prices. Every sauna company in the UAE routes you through a consultation, which is understandable — the answer genuinely depends on the room — but it leaves buyers with no way to sanity-check a number before they are emotionally committed to a supplier.
So here are real ranges from quotations we have issued in the last twelve months, in AED, with the scope stated. They are our numbers, not a market survey; another manufacturer will land somewhere different. But they are real, and they will tell you within about twenty per cent whether the quote in front of you is sane.

The single-unit range is the one most people need. A properly specified, professionally installed domestic sauna in Dubai lands between AED 45,000 and 62,000 turnkey. Below about 35,000 you are looking at a boxed import with a domestic-rated heater, which is a legitimate product but not the same thing. Above about 80,000 for a single standard room, ask what specifically you are paying for.
What actually moves the price
Six things, roughly in order of impact.
Glass area. This is the biggest single driver and the one clients underestimate. A solid-walled cabin with a glass door is a different product from a cabin with a full glass front, and a panoramic three-sided glass cabin is different again. Glass costs more than timber, needs a bigger heater to compensate for the heat loss, and requires more careful framing. Going from a glass door to a full glass front can add thirty per cent.
Size — but less than you think. Doubling the floor area does not double the price. The heater, controls, door and installation labour do not scale linearly. A 4 m² cabin and a 6 m² cabin are much closer in price than their areas suggest.
Heater and control system. A 9 kW commercial-grade heater with a proper external control unit is several thousand dirhams more than a domestic wall unit, and on a room that will be used daily it is not optional. See our comparison of the major heater brands for what the money buys.
Timber species and grade. Clear, knot-free grades cost meaningfully more than standard. Thermally modified timber and abachi cost more again. The visual difference is obvious at handover; the difference in how the room looks after five Dubai summers is larger.
Bespoke joinery. A cantilevered bench, a backrest detail matched to the adjoining bathroom, integrated lighting coves, a curved wall. Each is a joinery operation with no catalogue equivalent.
Scope of the MEP interface. Who does the electrical supply to the isolator, the drainage, the waterproofing, the floor falls? On a villa refurbishment these often sit with the main contractor. On a standalone installation they may fall to us, and they are real cost.
What is usually excluded, and catches people out
- Builder’s work. Wall preparation, screed, waterproofing membrane, drainage. Almost always someone else’s scope.
- Electrical supply to the isolator. We connect from the isolator; getting a suitable supply to it is an electrician’s job.
- Marble or tile to the wet areas adjoining the cabin.
- Cranage or difficult access. A penthouse with a small service lift changes the installation method and the price.
- Authority approvals where a building requires them.
- Maintenance after the warranty period.
When you compare two quotes and one is twenty per cent cheaper, the difference is usually in this list rather than in the cabin.
Cold plunge, steam and the rest
Rough turnkey additions in the same market:
- Steam room, tiled, with a commercial generator and controls: from about AED 55,000 for a compact residential room.
- Cold plunge, engineered with chiller and filtration: from about AED 60,000 for a compact stainless unit; a stone-clad built-in plunge in a designed niche costs considerably more, and needs the niche to be a sensible size — we have had to flag more than one drawing where the plunge recess was too small to actually sit in.

What a credible quote looks like
If a quotation does not state the following, you cannot compare it to anything:
- Internal cabin dimensions and height, not just “approx. 2 × 2”.
- Heater make, model and kW rating.
- Control system make and model, and whether it is external.
- Timber species and grade.
- Glass area and whether the glass is toughened, and its thickness.
- What installation includes, and who pays for what if the site is not ready.
- Warranty, split between heater, cabin and labour.
- Payment schedule.
- Lead time, split into manufacturing, shipping and installation.
Our own payment structure on project work is 20% on order, 20% on drawing approval, 55% before dispatch and 5% after commissioning. The final tranche matters: it is the money that is still on the table when the snag list gets written.
Is it cheaper to import a sauna into Dubai yourself?
On paper sometimes, in practice rarely. A boxed cabin from Europe or China can look attractively priced, and then you add sea freight, customs duty and VAT, inland transport, an installer who has never seen that product, and no local warranty presence. When something fails in month fourteen, you own the problem.
Where direct import genuinely works is a straightforward domestic barrel or kit sauna for a villa garden, installed by the owner, where the stakes are low. For anything that a guest, a tenant or a client will use, local supply with a serviceable warranty is worth the premium.

For a custom room: typically four to eight weeks manufacturing after drawing approval, then three to seven days on site. Prefabricated cabins held in stock can be much faster.
Do I need approvals to install a sauna in Dubai?
For a sauna inside an existing villa or apartment, usually not beyond the building or community’s own fit-out approval. For hotels and commercial spas, expect a full material approval and authority submittal package.
Does the price include the electrical supply?
Almost never. Suppliers connect from an isolator provided by the electrical contractor; getting an adequate supply to that isolator is a separate cost and it is worth confirming the required load early.
