Hot tub maintenance and service
Filtration, disinfection, circulation and the hydromassage pumps, serviced to the hot tub manufacturer's manual.
Hot tub maintenance keeps the water treatment, pumps and jets working. We clean or replace filters, check disinfection and pH records, service the circulation and jet pumps, blower and heater, and inspect the cover and insulation. Commercial spa pools run on a written operating procedure.
What the visit covers
What we check on a hot tub
Filters
Cartridge filters are rinsed or replaced; sand filters on built-in whirlpools are backwashed and the media checked.
Disinfection and water balance
Dosing, the ozone or UV unit and the test records are checked; the readings we take are written next to the operator's.
Pumps, jets and blower
Circulation and hydromassage pumps, jet fittings, air controls and the blower are tested for flow, noise and leaks.
Heater and controls
The heater, flow switch, temperature sensor and control panel are tested against the manufacturer's manual, for example on Wellis hot tubs.
Cover, cabinet and insulation
The cover, its straps and the cabinet panels are inspected; wet insulation is found before it costs heat.

Commercial spa pools follow a written operating procedure; in the UK this is set out in HSE HSG282. Typical intervals for planning. The equipment manufacturer's manual and local regulations take precedence, and hotels and clubs with daily use need more frequent checks than a home.

24-month warranty on workmanship and manufacturing; 24-month manufacturer's warranty on electrical and mechanical equipment; 5-year warranty on structure and waterproofing. The hot tub manufacturer's own warranty runs in parallel.

Frequently asked questions
How often should hot tub water be changed?
It depends on use and on the water treatment; a home hot tub is commonly drained and refilled every few months, and a commercial spa pool follows its written operating procedure.
Why do the jets lose pressure?
Most often a blocked filter, an air lock or a partly closed valve. We check those before the pump itself.
Do you service hot tubs you did not install?
Yes. The first visit is a condition survey; we report what we find and quote the work before doing it.
Which parts do you fit?
The hot tub manufacturer's parts, for example Wellis parts on Wellis hot tubs, fitted after your approval.
