Snow Shower
Short answer: A snow shower releases snow from a ceiling outlet when a guest presses the button, as the cold step after the sauna or hammam. It needs far less space than a snow room and no insulated cold store. Sauna Dekor Spa Solutions plans the niche, the drain and the finishes and installs the manufacturer's snow unit.

How does a snow shower differ from a snow room?
A snow room is an insulated room held at about −10 °C (TechnoAlpin), with continuous cooling and its own snow plant. A snow shower is 1 unit in the ceiling of an open niche that releases snow only when it is called. It takes the same place in the circuit where the floor area does not allow a room.

Where does a snow shower go?
A few steps from the sauna and hammam exits, on the guest's way to the rest area. Next to a shock bucket or an ice fountain it forms 1 cold niche. In a villa it pairs well with a Russian sauna or a Finnish sauna, which runs at 80–100 °C.

What does the installation need?
The snow generator stands outside the wet area, in a dry, ventilated plant space, with 3 services of its own: water, drain and an electrical circuit. Only the outlet and the sensor sit in the niche. The floor falls to a drain because the snow melts, and the finish is slip-resistant stone or mosaic over a waterproofed substrate.

Who makes the snow unit?
The snow unit is the manufacturer's equipment and carries the manufacturer's certification and its 24-month equipment warranty. We design the niche, coordinate water, drain and power with the MEP contractor, build the finishes and commission the unit to the manufacturer's instructions, as on our snow rooms.

The cold step sits at the exit of the heat rooms, a few steps away; a cold room placed far from the sauna is not used.
