Chamber types

Which hyperbaric chambers do we supply?

4 hard-shell types on one shared platform: the same compressor, cooler, concentrator and control software, in 4 different shells. The choice comes down to how many guests share a session and how much room the site has.

Shared platform

What is built into every chamber?

Each chamber arrives with 3 plant units, 2 control positions and one control program; only the shell around them changes. The operator runs the session from outside, the guest has a second set of controls inside, and the software logs every reading so the session record can be exported after each use.

Plant room equipment

  • An air compressor that brings the cabin above ambient pressure
  • An air cooler that removes the heat produced by compression
  • An oxygen concentrator that separates oxygen from room air, with no cylinders to refill

Operator side

  • External touch console for session settings and live readings
  • Two-way intercom to the guest
  • Emergency stop and a master power switch
  • Manual decompression knob as a mechanical back-up
  • USB port for software updates and session records

Guest side

  • Internal screen showing pressure, time left and progress
  • Analogue pressure gauge at eye level
  • Guest intercom and guest emergency stop
  • In-cabin cooling under pressure
  • UV-C sanitising that switches off when someone is inside

Control software

  • Pressure, oxygen, temperature and humidity read 10 times a second
  • Pre-session checklist: door, safety notice, summary
  • Cabin lighting colour and climate from the same tablet
  • Separate administrator and operator accounts

Oxygen reaches each guest through a mask or hood on the built-in breathing system, which also watches carbon dioxide; outside, the operator follows pressure, oxygen and temperature live.

Room requirements

What does the room need before the chamber arrives?

8 points we settle on the drawings before an order is placed. Most delays on a hyperbaric project come from the room, not the chamber: a slab that needs checking, a lift that is too small or a technical room that was never drawn. Settling them first keeps the delivery date fixed.

01

Structure and floor

A hard-shell chamber is a steel and acrylic pressure vessel, so it is heavy for its size. We take the weight and footprint from the manufacturer's sheet for the chosen model and have the slab checked by the structural engineer before the room is fixed, especially on upper floors of hotels and villas.

02

Access route

The chamber has to reach the room. We measure doors, corridors, lift cars and turning points against the delivery dimensions; the lie-flat chamber passes residential doorways, while the omega and walk-in types are planned for on-site assembly by our team.

03

Technical room

The compressor, air cooler and concentrator sit outside the guest room. For each site the manufacturer draws the plant arrangement while the project is planned; we build that room with service clearance, acoustic lining and a short, protected route for the air and oxygen lines.

04

Electrical supply

The compact and lie-flat chambers run from a standard mains socket. The larger types need a dedicated supply sized in the site layout. Power, earthing and the emergency stop circuit are installed by a licensed electrician to the local code.

05

Ventilation and cooling

Compression, the cooler and the concentrator all release heat. In the Gulf we size the room's air conditioning for that load and give the concentrator a fresh, filtered air intake, because it draws its oxygen from the room air.

06

Oxygen and fire safety

An oxygen-enriched space is treated as a fire risk. The room gets non-combustible finishes, smoke detection and a clear rule set: no open flames, oils, aerosols or personal electronics in the cabin. We follow the hyperbaric chapter of NFPA 99 as the reference and the requirements of the local civil defence authority.

07

Monitoring and data

Every session is watched from outside: the operator console, the in-cabin camera feed and the intercom. We plan a fixed operator position with a clear view of the chamber and a network point for the control tablet.

08

Approvals

Wellness use and medical use are licensed differently. Before ordering, the operator confirms which licence applies with the local health authority and the free-zone or municipality; we prepare the drawings and the equipment file they ask for.

Process

How do we install and commission a hyperbaric chamber?

6 steps from the first survey to the maintenance plan. The same team surveys the site, builds the guest room and the technical room, assembles the chamber and trains the operators, so one contractor answers for the room and the installation from the first drawing to handover.

  1. 01

    Survey and chamber choice

We visit the site or work from drawings, agree the number of guests per session and the daily use, and choose the chamber type that fits the room, the access route and the plant space.

  2. 02

    Room design and services

We draw the guest room and the technical room together: structure, power, air conditioning, the concentrator's air intake, finishes, lighting and the operator position.

  3. 03

    Approvals and order

The operator files the licence application with our drawings and the manufacturer's equipment file; the chamber is ordered once the room is approved.

  4. 04

    Delivery and assembly

The chamber is delivered and assembled on site by our team, then connected to its compressor, cooler and concentrator in the technical room.

  5. 05

    Commissioning and handover

We run the pressure, oxygen and alarm checks, test the emergency stop and the oxygen-to-air switchover, and train the operators on the console and the daily checklist.

  6. 06

    Maintenance

Daily checks follow the operator checklist; seals, valves and the pressure system are inspected on the manufacturer's schedule, with the manufacturer's manuals and remote support behind our service visits.

Safety

Which safety systems does each chamber carry?

The same 6 safety systems ship with every type, whether the chamber goes into a clinic or a home. They act on their own when a reading leaves its range, and they are tested one by one at commissioning before the first guest session is run.

  • Automatic switch from oxygen to air as soon as a sensor reading leaves its set range
  • Door release from inside and from outside, without a key sequence
  • Live oxygen concentration sensor, with every reading logged on the operator tablet
  • In-cabin camera feed and two-way intercom for the whole session
  • Sealed regulator circuit that keeps supply air and exhaust air apart
  • Emergency stop on both sides and a fast decompression valve

Certification

The manufacturer designs and certifies the pressure vessel to the EU Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU and to ASME PVHO-1 (pressure vessels for human occupancy), works under ISO 13485 quality management and applies CE marking. These are certificates held by the manufacturer. Copies are not published online; we request them from the manufacturer and include them, with the certifying bodies and certificate numbers, in the documents that come with our quotation.

Wellness use

We supply these chambers as wellness equipment, not as medical devices, and this page makes no treatment claims. Hyperbaric oxygen used as a medical treatment is the practice of medicine: it needs a licensed physician, a licensed facility and approval from the local health authority.

Where it fits

Where does a hyperbaric chamber go in a spa or a clinic?

3 typical settings: a hotel spa, a longevity centre or clinic, and a private villa. In each one the chamber sits at the quiet end of the programme, with its technical room behind a service wall and a fixed position for the operator.

Hotel spa

An omega or compact chamber placed at the quiet end of the thermal circuit, after the sauna and the cold rooms, with the technical room behind the spa's plant wall.

Longevity centre or clinic

A walk-in chamber for group sessions, planned next to the cryotherapy room and the red light therapy room; see our longevity centre planning page for the full room programme.

Private villa

A lie-flat or compact chamber in the wellness suite, often beside a float tank room; the omega type suits villas with space for a separate technical room.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is a hyperbaric chamber?

A hyperbaric chamber is a sealed pressure vessel. While the cabin is held above ambient pressure, the guest breathes oxygen from a concentrator through the chamber's breathing system. The 4 hard-shell types we supply work at up to 1.5 bar; the lie-flat type works at up to 1.0 bar.

Do you manufacture hyperbaric chambers?

No. The Coral Ark, Cube, Pod and One are made and certified by their manufacturer. Sauna Dekor Spa Solutions supplies them, prepares the room and the technical room, assembles the chamber on site, commissions it and trains the operators.

What is the difference between a soft-shell and a hard-shell chamber?

A soft-shell chamber is an inflatable fabric body and works at low pressure. A hard-shell chamber is a rigid vessel built and certified as pressure equipment, with a wider pressure range, fixed seating and integrated controls. All 4 types on this page are hard-shell.

How much space and power does a hyperbaric chamber need?

It depends on the type. The compact and lie-flat chambers run from a standard mains socket and need little more than their footprint and service clearance. The omega and walk-in chambers need a separate technical room for the compressor, air cooler and concentrator, sized in the manufacturer's site layout.

Can a hyperbaric chamber be installed in a villa?

Yes. The lie-flat chamber rolls on casters and passes residential doorways, and the compact chamber fits a small room. An omega chamber works in a villa wellness suite when there is space for its technical room. Floor load, access and approvals are checked first.

Who operates the chamber during a session?

A trained operator outside the chamber runs every session from the control tablet, with the camera feed and the intercom. We train the operators at handover. Medical use of hyperbaric oxygen needs a licensed physician and local approval.

How long is a session?

The operator sets the session in the control software. For the Coral Pod compact seated chamber the manufacturer describes a 45-minute session; for the other types the length follows the operator's own programme.

What warranty and maintenance come with the chamber?

The chamber equipment carries a 2-year warranty and our installation workmanship 24 months. Daily checks follow the operator checklist; seals, valves and the pressure system are inspected on the manufacturer's schedule.

How do you get a quote for a hyperbaric chamber?

Send us the room size, the floor and the number of guests per session; we will propose the chamber type, the room scope and the budget range.
