Sauna Dekor is a European sauna, hammam and steam room manufacturer and spa contractor working in Boston, across New England and along the East Coast. Manufacturing since 1987 — our 40th year — with projects delivered in more than 35 countries, all produced at our own Türkiye and European facilities, then delivered and commissioned from our Boston base.
40 years of European spa engineering, now in the United States. From our Boston base we design, manufacture and supervise the installation of made-to-order saunas, hammams, steam rooms, cold plunges and complete wellness facilities for New England homes, hotels and clubs.
Sauna Dekor brings 40 years of design, engineering and manufacturing to North America. Every project is produced at our Türkiye and European facilities, then delivered across New England and the East Coast from our Boston base and installed by your licensed local contractor under supervision by our own engineers.
A US base in Boston with USD contracts and invoicing, and a single point of contact from design through to commissioning.
Every installation is built with UL/ETL-listed components and engineered to the National Electrical Code (NEC), International Building Code (IBC) and ADA requirements.
From 3D design and technical documentation to custom marble and premium Nordic woods — one team from concept to handover, backed by a 24-month warranty.
Contrast therapy is our craft. Every temperature on this spectrum is a facility we design, manufacture and commission for projects across the United States.
Plus salt rooms, ice fountains, shower systems, massage rooms and complete wellness floors — with cold plunge and contrast-therapy suites built for the US recovery movement — for luxury homes, boutique hotels, wellness clubs and residential developments across Boston, New England and the East Coast.

Custom steam room work for private residences — the scale of US project we have delivered to date, supplied from our European production and installed with local trades.
A commercial day spa commission in the Americas — the wider hemisphere work behind the Boston office.
The reference base a New England client is really buying: resort and flagship hotel spa floors delivered turnkey, from the same drawing office and the same factory.
We do not claim US projects we have not built. Our verifiable depth is delivered work in 35+ countries since 1987, and references plus a virtual tour of completed work are available on request.
The honest version, because getting this wrong is how a project fails an inspection: we are the manufacturer and the engineer, not your local trade.
Our Boston office at 66 Long Wharf is a commercial, design and project-management base. We supply the cabin, the plant and the complete technical package — shop drawings, submittals, load schedules — and installation is executed by your licensed local contractor: a Massachusetts-licensed electrician and plumber, plus the waterproofing trade, working to our drawings. Our own engineers attend for set-out, supervision of the critical stages and final testing and commissioning. We do not employ a resident installation crew in North America and we do not hold a US contractor's licence, and we would rather say so at enquiry stage than at inspection stage.
The governing document is the Massachusetts State Building Code, 780 CMR, 10th Edition, effective 11 October 2024 and based on the 2021 I-Codes; Chapter 51 adopts the 2021 IRC for residential work. Electrical work follows 527 CMR 12.00, which adopts the 2026 National Electrical Code with effect from 24 April 2026 — worth checking against, because secondary code mirrors online still show the 2023 text. In Boston itself, the permitting authority for building, electrical, plumbing and gas is the Inspectional Services Department, under M.G.L. c.143 §§3 and 3A.
Two licences are not optional on our kind of work: a Massachusetts-licensed electrician (M.G.L. c.141 §3) and a Massachusetts-licensed plumber (c.142 §3, 248 CMR 10.00). On listing, there is no Massachusetts-specific rule forcing a particular testing laboratory — 527 CMR 12.00 Rule 6 is permissive — but the hard requirement sits in federal law at OSHA 29 CFR 1910.303(a) and 1910.399, which is why we specify UL- or ETL-listed equipment rather than relying on a CE mark.
Everything electrical that goes into a US project is specified as UL- or ETL-listed — heaters, controls, lighting and steam plant. A European CE mark is not a North American listing, and an inspector here looks for the listing mark on the equipment itself; it is a common reason an imported sauna fails a first inspection. We select the listed variant at quotation stage rather than substituting later, and the submittal package names the listing on every item so the reviewing authority can check it without calling us.
ASHRAE's 0.4% summer design dry-bulb at Boston Logan is 32.7 °C — mild by our standards, and cold-plunge chiller selection is straightforward here. The engineering effort goes the other way. An outdoor sauna, cold plunge or cold-water circuit in New England needs freeze protection that a Gulf or Mediterranean design never carries: heat-traced and insulated pipework, a drain-down route for seasonal shutdown, frost-resistant substructure detailing, and glazing and door hardware selected for repeated freeze-thaw. We design that in from the first drawing rather than adding it after the first winter.

Yes. Sauna Dekor operates a US base at 66 Long Wharf, Boston, Massachusetts, bringing 40 years of European spa engineering to North America. It is a commercial, design and project-management office: we supply and engineer, and installation is carried out by your licensed local contractor under our supervision. Consultations are available on-site across New England or virtually.
From our Boston base we serve New England and the East Coast — Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York and beyond — for private residences, boutique hotels and wellness clubs.
We quote per project rather than publish a range, because the same specification lands at a very different total from one building to the next. What moves the figure is the size of the cabin or wet room, the timber and stone grade, the heater or steam generator selected, how much of the enclosure is glass, the waterproofing, tanking and drainage the room already has, and how far power, water, drainage and ventilation have to be brought to it. Send us the room dimensions, the ceiling height, the access route and the services already reaching the space, and we return an itemised, position-by-position quotation covering equipment, construction and installation.
A single sauna or steam room typically takes 6–10 weeks from design approval to commissioning, including manufacturing in Europe and shipping. Complete home spa packages run 12–16 weeks; hotel projects are scheduled per the construction programme.
Yes. Installations use UL/ETL-listed components and are engineered to the National Electrical Code (NEC), International Building Code (IBC) and ADA requirements, coordinated with local permitting.
40 years of delivered work in 35+ countries, fully in-house manufacturing under our TS EN ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, with CE, TÜV and GREENGUARD Gold certified components from their own manufacturers — made-to-order craftsmanship and engineering depth rarely available from off-the-shelf US suppliers.
