Cryotherapy Room Planning and Installation
Short answer: A cryotherapy cabin is a factory-built unit from its manufacturer, used for a few minutes at a time at a very low temperature. Sauna Dekor Spa Solutions plans the room around it — power, ventilation, the cooling unit's position and service access — supplies the cabin and installs it in hotel spas, gyms and villas across the GCC.

What should you know before planning a cryotherapy room?

Who makes the cabin, and what do we do?
We do not manufacture cryotherapy cabins. The cabin body and its cooling unit are made by their manufacturer, and the temperature and power figures are on the manufacturer's documents. We do 3 things: decide with the operator between an electric and a nitrogen cabin, supply the cabin, and prepare and install the panel, the supply line and the ventilation. The cabin's certificates and factory warranty belong to its manufacturer and are listed separately in our quotation; see the cryotherapy equipment we supply.

Electric or nitrogen cabin?
A nitrogen cabin costs less to install but uses gas at every session and brings a heavier ventilation requirement. An electric cabin costs more at the start, runs without a gas supply and keeps the operating cost predictable. The planned number of sessions a day usually decides between the two, and the electrical load is worked out with the cabin capacity.

What does the room need?
An electric cabin needs a substantial electrical supply, so the panel and the supply line are planned at the start, not added later. Around the cabin there must be a ventilated space where the cooling unit can reject its heat, with a service clearance behind it — the item most often missed in early quotations. The door and the access route must also be wide enough to bring the cabin in.

Where does it go in a hotel, a gym or a villa?
In a hotel or a gym the cabin sits close to the changing and rest areas, on the same floor as the sauna and the cold plunge pool, because sessions are short and guests move quickly. In a villa we usually choose a room next to the basement or the plant room. A nitrogen cabin at home adds gas deliveries and a ventilation load, so villas usually take the electric option.

How does it compare with the other cold rooms?
A cold plunge works with water, a snow room with snow at about −10 °C (TechnoAlpin), and a cryotherapy cabin with cold air produced by its own cooling system. Each has a different footprint and plant; the table below sets them side by side. The cold step sits at the exit of the heat rooms, a few steps away; a cold room placed far from the sauna is not used.
