What the EOS Vitae is

The Vitae is a full-spectrum infrared emitter working through a quartz glass tube: IR-A, IR-B and IR-C come from the same body, full power is reached in under a second, and the spectrum runs from 0.8 to 10 μm. There are three outputs — 350, 500 and 750 W; the 500 and 750 W versions carry an internal limiter that damps the inrush current of the cold circuit. The body is stainless steel, the reflector polished aluminium, and a black flock-coated guard grille sits in front. It can be dimmed with a suitable control unit. The standard body measures 900 × 185 × 65 mm, the Compact version 745 × 185 × 65 mm; the installation cut-outs are 165 × 890 and 165 × 735 mm. It recesses into a wall panel or a 90° corner and comes with 3 m of silicone cable fitted. Supply 230 V, weight 2.5 kg.

Modular control
